And my 10 year old baby girl responded; “Mom I would love to send personalized card with love and support and include stationaries for little children affected by the tragedy”. As a parent nothing makes you proud than your child understanding what has happened and think of compassion. To fulfill her wish we would like to share this idea to our Nepali community “Kids for kids”. The program will get all our kids to personalize the card and donate stationary items such as pencil, crayons, stickers….etc. If you wish to donate cash, you can do that and it will be used to buy those items. Nepali American Center (NAC) in partnership with UNICEF, is bringing UNICEF’s Young Ambassadors Color Run 7k, this Sunday, May 3! In light of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal last weekend, all funds raised through the 7k will now benefit the children and families impacted in Nepal. As you may have heard, a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake near Nepal’s capital city of Kathmandu has claimed more than 3,000 lives, caused thousands of injuries, and destroyed homes and infrastructure. Nearly 1 million children require humanitarian assistance, and UNICEF is on the ground working to provide critical aid to children and families.
